OCC//this is where i got some of my characters...im writing it, and its about 18 pages so far.
A rustling in the bushes surrounding the clearing caught her attention, and she turned hopefully toward the sound, only to flinch when four full-grown cats stepped into the open. She flattened herself to the ground, squeezing her eyes shut, and pressing her ears flat to her head.
The cat at the head of the patrol, a muscular golden tom, stared at the kit, his green eyes flashing with surprise.
A slender light gray she-cat padded forward and sniffed the kit. Then she gave it a quick lick on the top of its head. The kit leaned against the cat's legs, sheltering behind her.
The light gray cat's blue eyes looked down at the kit with warmth.
"Goldenheart, we should take her back to camp," the cat meowed. "She's cold and hungry."
The gold tom, Goldenheart, came up to the light gray she-cat. He bent down and sniffed the kit, but pulled his head back quickly, his neck fur starting to rise.
"Minnowmew!" he hissed. "That's a StormClan kit!" Goldenheart bared his teeth in a snarl, making the white kit shrink away from him.
Minnowmew hissed at him, drawing herself up to her full height. Her eyes were like blue flames as she spat, "Don't scare her like that! She barely knows there are Clans! Don't take it out on her!"
"I agree with Minnowmew." a new voice meowed. It was a dark gray tom who had a bright red muzzle and bright red paws.
Minnowmew started to relax. "Thank you, Firewhisker," she meowed to the dark gray tom. Firewhisker nodded.
"It's not the kit's fault she was born in StormClan. Besides, we need more cats, especially because Blackkit and Yellowfur died from greencough." Firewhisker meowed thoughtfully.
"But it wouldn't be right!" Goldenheart protested. "Her mother will be frantic."
"They'll probably think she was killed by a fox or a monster on the RoaringPath." Ravenstep, a dark brown tom with black legs, a black tail, and amber eyes pointed out.
"Please Goldenheart! If she doesn't get food soon, she'll die!" Minnowmew pleaded. She gazed at him with liquid-blue eyes.
Goldenheart flicked his tail. "All right," he meowed.
"Thank you!" Minnowmew exclaimed. "I know we'll be able to convince Squirrelstar."
"Okay, but if we get our ears clawed off, don't blame me." Goldenheart growled.
Minnowmew pressed her muzzle to his golden one for a moment. Then she turned and picked up the white kit by the scruff of her neck.
The cats turned and disappeared into the trees. Minnowmew sent a silent promise to the little kit. I will take care of you...Skykit. Then she turned her gaze back to the path that led her home.
[glow=blue,2,300]Prologue[/glow]
A tiny white kit stumbled out into a clearing. She mewed pitifully, crying for food, crying for her mother. The trees that surrounded her were unfamiliar, not pine, like her home, but tall, leafy ones. Her fur glowed silver in the moonlight, and her ice-blue eyes looked ghostly.A rustling in the bushes surrounding the clearing caught her attention, and she turned hopefully toward the sound, only to flinch when four full-grown cats stepped into the open.
