Bloodfire stalked along the Stream. He wondered if he could fish. It'd give BoneClan something new to eat, and would also keep them from starving in the harsher seasons. He peered down into the flowing water, when the reflexion of another cat came into view. He turned to see...

Sparrow padded out of the bushes behind her mate. "Yes, but why?" she asked accusingly. She still had her doubts about Bloodfire's loyalty to BoneClan.

Bloodfire stood up straight, looking the two face-to-face, and honest and innocent expression on his face. "I thought that if we could learn to fish, the Clan wouldn't need to live off of rats and crowfood. And, we could swim through water much easily." He suggested.

Sparrow snorted. "That's the most mouse-brained thing I've ever heard! Don't you think so, Kai?" Sparrow looked at her mate, hoping for support. She loved crushing spirits.

"Maybe, we could pose an attack on the valley Clans then, and hide in the water," Kai considered, "Good thinking, Bloodfire!" He turned, and stalked away.

Sparrow stared after the orange tom in shock and disbelief. Kai had sided with Bloodfire but not her? His own mate? Sparrow threw a look of loathing at Bloodfire, then stalked off after Kai.

Bloodfire's eyes widened in horrow ashe stared after his Leader. Choking down a gulp of air, he glanced at Sparrow, who was looking at him with loathing in her eyes. He could semi-understand. Kai had sided with him, rather than his mate. But, it wasn't what he had been hoping. If that black tom from the forest was right, and there was something called StarClan, then would they sit around and watch as their Warriors were attacked? He sent a silent prayer, hoping that he had done it right, and that they had heard him.
