Blackfire had barely heard his name being called. He jumped away from the warrior, and rushed over to Icewhisper. "Icewhisper! Are you alright!" He asked urgently, burying his muzzle into her flank.

Nightfang watched in amazement as the black tom leaped away from him and raced off. He was about to let out a yowl of triumph when he saw that the cat hadn't been running away from him, but toward the white cat lying on the ground.---------------------------------------------------------- Icewhisper let out a purr, but it caused her a lot of pain, so she stopped almost instantly. "Blackfire..." she started. "I'm sorry! I never meant to hurt you. I should never have met with Brambleheart. I was the most mousebrained cat in the whole forest! Please forgive me!" Icewhisper pleaded, hoping that Blackfire would. She didn't think she could bear living without him for another minute.

Blackfire licked the top of the white cat's head. "I love you. And I forgive you." he whispered in her ear. He turned around, and fluffed out his pelt. He wasn't through with that TreeClan warrior! Leaping ontop of the tom, Blackfire's claws unsheathed, ready to pierce through anything.

Moonfeather reared back onto her hind legs as Wolfheart lashed at her muzzle. She raked the air with her claws, trying to scratch any part of the warrior she could reach.-------------------------------------------------------- Nightfang screeched in pain as Blackfire leaped suddenly onto him again. He twisted his head around and bit into the black tom's shoulder, holding on as if his life depended on it.--------------------------------------------------------- Icewhisper struggled to her paws, feeling as if she could fly into the sky. Blackfire forgave her! But then she saw that he had leaped onto the cat that had been standing nearby. Her first steps were a bit unsteady, but then she found her balance again. Icewhisper crouched on the ground, waggling her hindquarters, waiting for a chance to pounce. As the TreeClan warrior bit down on Blackfire's shoulder, she leaped, and landed squarely on his back. ----------------------------------------------------------- Nightfang let out a yowl as a cat landed on his back, flattening him to the ground. With a jolt, he realized that it was the she-cat that had been half-dead. "Hey! Get off of me you filthy pieces of fox dung!" he snarled, writhing madly back and forth in an effort to throw off the two warriors that were clinging to him.

Blackfire hissed as the tom bit down on his shoulder, and was relieved when Icewhisper came into the fight. He began to rake his claws along the TreeClan tom's flank, feeling the warm blood seeping between his claws.

Nightfang screeched in pain when Blackfire's claws made blood seep out of his flank. "StarClan help me!" he cried. Then suddenly the weight of one of the cats disappeared from his back. He twisted his head to see Moonfeather clinging onto Blackfire's back. She must've chased off Wolfheart.---------------------------------------------------------------- Moonfeather dug her claw's into the black tom's back, raking them along his spine so that blood welled up. She had chased off Wolfheart eventually, but her side and nose stung where he had clawed her. Now she was rushing to the aid of her mate.

Moonfeather dug her claws in even harder as the black tom twisted and writhed beneath her. But she would not let go. ---------------------------------------------------------- Icewhisper felt a stab of panic as she felt Blackfire be torn away from Nightfang, the black tom she was still clinging to. But she knew that he would be okay. He had to be.

Blackfire reared up, and fell backwards to crush the she-cat. He knew he might get the wind knocked out of him as well, but was willing to take the chance.

Blackfire felt the she-cat leap away, and flipped around to land on his paws. He glanced at icewhisper to make sure she was alright, and saw her fall to the ground. Springing into the air, he collided with Nightfang, raking his claws anywhere they could reach.

Ivory Pricked her ears. The ground trembeled and the air carried a strange and unbearable strong stench. Ivorypelts fur stood on end as a long lost memory of a long forgotten creature comes back into her mind. The memory of HeavyClaw a Bear! A creature as big as a twoleg monster, heavily furred, sharp claws and powerful paws. "STOP! HIDE! RUN! HEAVYCLAW IS COMING" her fur stood on end as she screeched the words.
Silverpaw whipped around to see the terrified elder with wide terrified eyes her back arched with fur on end growing two times her size. There was no question this elder was terrified. Silverpaw could hear something crashed through the undergrowth. Something big! Then she heard a blood curling roar and a massive brown furred creature no monster crash right in to the TreeClan Camp! Now she understood Ivorypelts fear. She wanted to run but her paws were liked glued to the ground as HeavyClaw went straight for her.
Ivorypelt watch in horror as HeavyClaw went for the young Silver tabby she-cat. The she-cat was an enemy Warrior but no cat deserves to fall into this monsters claws. "MOVE IT" she screeched at her she didn't move. From that moment everything seemed to happen really fast. Ivorypelt shoot forward with a remarkable speed for age knocking the she she-cat aside. Turning around facing the snapping jaws that just missed the silver tabby and clawed the black moist nose leaving a wide blood gushing scratch. HeavyClaw roared in rage and pain. All fear has gone and Ivorypelt new that StarClan are waiting for her already the least she could do is lure the monster as far away as possible so the clan has a chance. Darting forward one more time slashing at his fur leaving another gash. Bear roared wants more snapping at her but just barely missing. Now that he focuses on her she went for the base of the great Hill trying to get as far away as possible. She heard the heavy breathing just behind her. It came closer and closer. Then all of the sudden she felt a tremendous pain in her sides as she was lifted in to the air. She screeched out one more time then everything went dark....
Silverpaw got back to her paws and watched stunned as the elder bravely fought HeavyClaw. She wanted to run after them as they disappeared into the undergrowth but she just couldn't move. Her blood ran cold as she heard a dying screech in the distance.
Snowstar just woke up after being unconscious from loosing another life. She looked around her camp noticing the damage and the shocked silence. "What happened!" the snowy Leader demanded.

Icewhisper stared after Ivorypelt, who had chased out the bear. Then she heard something that made her fur crawl. It was a terrible sound, the sound of a dying screech coming from the direction that the elder had gone. Then she heard another sound, and turned to see that Snowstar had sat up and asked, "What happened?" So Icewhisper turned toward the TreeClan leader cautiously, because Snowstar wasn't her leader. "S-Snowstar, a big bear came through the camp, and Ivorypelt led it out of the camp. And I think she's..." Icewhisper couldn't bring herself to say "dead". She just wouldn't believe that Ivorypelt was dead.--------------------------------------------------------------- Letting go of the black tom, Moonfeather stared after Ivorypelt, the cat she had known her whole life. She couldn't be dead! She just couldn't! Moonfeather looked around for her mate, then walked over to him and pressed against his side.--------------------------------------------------------------- Nightfang froze. He let go of the white she-cat as he saw the elder charge out of the TreeClan camp with the bear hard on his paws. Then he heard it. A dying screech. No! Ivorypelt couldn't be dead! Then he felt Moonfeather's soft fur press against his side.--------------------------------------------------------------- Dreampaw stared after the cranky elder, and heard the dying screech. Then she looked sideways at Silverpaw. Her friend was standing there, looking after the enemy elder with stunned sadness in her eyes. "Are you all right, Silverpaw?" Dreampaw asked her friend.--------------------------------------------------------------- Flamepaw stared after Ivorypelt in shock and disbelief. When he heard her dying screech, his blood ran cold. She couldn't be dead! He had just taken care of her! Was this his reward? He looked over at Silverpaw, who was standing frozen to the ground. He pressed his side cautiously against hers. "Are you all right?" he asked. He hoped that she would recover. He was truly grateful to Ivorypelt, and felt a stab of regret when he realized that it was his fault that she had come out of her den. If he hadn't talked to Silverpaw, she would be out there with that bear. But on the other hand, if he hadn't talked to Silverpaw, she would probably be dead right now. His heart felt like it was torn in two, and he didn't know if it would ever be whole again. He hung his head and let out a long, sorrowful sigh.

Seapaw the newest TreeClan apprentice crouched shivering against the ground, his gray fur sticking out every wich way and his yellow eyes shining with fear. He pushed himself up and stared off in the direction the bear and Ivorypelt had run. He tried to shut his ears to the horrible scream. His heart pounded and he stopped himself from sinking to the ground again. He musn't be afraid. He looked over at the other apprentices and at his leader. Undecided he stood awaiting orders.
