Time to tell me the truth / To burden your mouth for what you say
No pieces of paper in the way / Cause i cant continue pretending to choose
My body aches. I've been on my paws since I
recieved Silverpaw as my Apprentice. I love being
her mentor.......but everything is crushing me........
Keeping her out of trouble........... Training her.......
......... Hunting for the Clan............ Border patrols..
............ Breezestar becoming leader.....and Icewhisper.
Oh, Icewhisper! How could things have gone so horribly
wrong? I should never have listened to them that night!
If I had just gone back to camp without meeting her
there, then maybe.....just maybe....we could be together.
These thoughts haunted the young tom as he padded slowly
along the river bank. His paws slipped every so often on the
smooth pebbles, but this didn't distract him. If someone saw
the Warrior, they'd think he was sleep-walking. Ever since his
and Icewhisper's fight, he had had terrible nightmares. Because
of this, he hadn't gotten any sleep, and his new duties as a mentor
crashed down on him. His tail trailed behind him, brushing against
the water he was treading. While the air was warming everything
up, the river would stay cold. Blackfire didn't mind, especially during
hot Green-leaf times. As he approached a fallen oak that could be used
as a small bridge across the river, Blackfire looked to the sky. It was
close to midnight, and he just wasn't able to sleep. He had told
Breezestar, whom had been on duty, that he was going for a walk.
She didn't seem to mind, so long as he stayed out of the other Clans'
territory. But the territory beyond the River belonged to no-one. It
led out of FogClan territory, out or Warrior Valley. So, he was obeying
his leader's request, right? Whiskers quivering, Blackfire leapt up
onto the tree-bridge, and went to the middle, stretching out onto the
tree, watching the river flow steadily on. He closed his eyes, allowing
the sounds to relax him. As sleep began to overtake him, the scent of
another cats reached him, and his eyes flew open. Luckily the scent was
of FogClan, but who's, he wasn't sure.
The opposite sides on which we fall/ The loving you laters if at all
No right minds could wrong be this many times
No pieces of paper in the way / Cause i cant continue pretending to choose
